Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah is set to miss around six weeks following a hamstring injury.
That is according to an update from BBC Sport's Sami Mokbel on the issue that forced the former Arsenal forward to leave the field during Palace’s pre-season defeat to Augsburg on Friday.
The injury comes ahead of a busy start to the season for the Eagles, who face Liverpool in the Community Shield on Sunday and open their Premier League campaign against Chelsea on August 17.
Nketiah’s absence means he will be out until late September, leaving Palace to adjust their attacking options as they look to begin their campaign strongly.
