Entering his true freshman season, Hill comes to Tuscaloosa as a highly-touted prospect at what is likely a position of need in outside linebacker, in particular when it comes to rushing the passer.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Hill comes to Alabama as the nation's No. 60 overall recruit in the 2025 class, as well as the No. 6 edge rusher nationally. A four-star prospect, Hill committed to Alabama back in July 2024, and was also considered the No. 3 player in the state of Ohio where he attended Winton Woods High School.

Justin Hill 2025 season outlook

A talented prospect, it feels likely that Hill will make an immediate impact this season for the Crimson Tide.

At outside linebacker, Alabama returns a starter at the wolf position in Qua Russaw, along with two notable backups in Jah-Marien Latham and Yhonzae Pierre. However, Hill is likely already in that same conversation with Latham and Pierre, and might just be one of the top pass rushers of the entire group already.

Overall, expect Hill to see time for the Crimson Tide in 2025, and for the true freshman to likely continue to emerge as the season goes along.
