The Indiana Fever found themselves in a thriller on Sunday against the Seattle Storm, once again playing without star point guard Caitlin Clark, who remains sidelined with a groin injury that has kept her out since before the All-Star break.
Indiana controlled much of the game and got meaningful contributions across the board. However, after building a 73-61 lead in the fourth quarter, they allowed the Storm to surge with an 11-0 run, cutting the lead to just one.
Despite the late drama, the Fever held on for a 78-74 win—marking their fifth straight victory and improving their record to 17-12. They now sit with the third-best record in the Eastern Conference.
After the game, guard Sophie Cunningham—who has started the last seven contests and dropped a season-high 17 points on four three-pointers—summed up the collective feeling in the locker room with a lighthearted remark.
“Oh my gosh, that one just aged me, but we’re getting better. Shoot, good win.”
“That’s a PN-W!” 🗣️

It wasn’t a pretty win by any means, but at this point in the season, every victory matters—and the Fever know it.
Sophie Cunningham was the only player on Indiana’s roster to hit a three-pointer. They were out-rebounded—especially late—and committed 16 turnovers.
Yet, thanks to Cunningham’s strong performance, Natasha Howard’s 21 points, and Aliyah Boston’s 16-point double-double, the Fever continue to find ways to win as they await Caitlin Clark’s return.
