We're looking at the instant analysis of the Eagles acquiring cornerback Jakorian Bennett from the Raiders for defensive tackle Thomas Booker

In an intriguing and interesting move that'll add more cornerback depth, the Eagles are acquiring cornerback Jakorian Bennett from the Raiders for Thomas Booker.

Bennett became the odd man out in a cornerback rotation that includes second-year cover guy Darien Porter, Eric Stokes, and Decamerion Richardson.

With the move now complete, we're looking at instant analysis of the deal.

Bennett fell out of favor with Pete Carroll.

Bennett was the Raiders’ best corner in the 10 games he played last year, but he’s struggled to stay healthy in his first two seasons, and according to The Athletic, he saw his reps dwindle with the hiring of Pete Carroll. The former Seahawks coach prefers bigger defenders, and Bennett is 5 feet 10, 194 pounds.

Booker could have a better opportunity in Las Vegas

Booker played in all 17 regular-season and four postseason games last season, starting one contest early in the season. This season, he was slotted to be Philadelphia's fifth defensive tackle behind Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, and fourth-round pick Ty Robinson, and Geoff Mosher reports that former Baylor defensive tackle Gabe Hall is finally finding his groove.

Bennett offers potential when healthy

Bennett may have fallen out of favor with Pete Carroll, but he's solid when healthy and could push Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson in the preseason. Last season, Bennett only allowed 18 catches on 37 targets for zero touchdowns on 294 coverage snaps.

Vic Fangio isn't pleased with Jackson and Ringo.

During his Monday press conference, Fangio said this about the battle between Adoree' Jackson & Kelee Ringo: "It's close. I think both of them are having a good camp, but it's close, and I've been happy with both of them, and we'll see."

Now we'll see how they respond to a third candidate, and fourth if you include the surging Eli Ricks.
