Rueckert on his commitment to BYU
Dean Rueckert went in-depth on his commitment to BYU with Rivals.
“I chose BYU because I feel like it’s a place that can help me grow both on and off the court. Coach Young and his staff believe in me, and I know they can help me reach my goals—both to have a successful college career and to play professionally. I think BYU is a special place, and I’m excited to represent it.”
What led to his trust in coach Young and the rest of the staff?
“I’ve had a lot of time to get to know the coaches since they’ve been recruiting me for a while. They’ve always been honest when I’ve asked questions or looked for feedback, and that’s helped build a strong level of trust.”
In his own words, what type of player is BYU getting in Rueckert?
“I’d describe myself as a three-point shooter who can also attack off the dribble, finish above the rim, or draw the defense and make the right play.”
He has a message for BYU fans.
“So many great players have come through BYU, and I’m excited to be part of that legacy. I think big things are coming. Go Cougs!”
