The fallout from Cam Newton leaving Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts off his top 10 NFL quarterback list continues.

Newton has been heavily criticized by fans and media alike for his snub of Hurts off his list, but one Eagles fan in particular, rapper Gillie Da Kid called out Newton on social media.

Defending Hurts Gillie said to Newton:

"What you do? You want MVP? Won a Super Bowl? Win the Super Bowl MVP? And you hating on him? 'Cause he did what you couldn't do, win a Super Bowl! Anything the two of 'em! So when you hate on him, just know you wasn't better than him,”  Gillie said.

Newton responded on his 4th&1 podcast  saying, “There will be no playing with my name.” Then he brought up the comments he previously made about Gillie’s music. "Where I'm from Gillie, we stab, and we twist,” he said. "When you go low, I go to hell.”

The beef between the pair seemed to have settled down until former Heisman winner and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel decided to interject himself into the conversation.

Manziel threatened Gillie and told him to keep Newton’s name out of his mouth or else.

Yo @gilliedakid you may be the biggest f*cking loser on the planet. Talking like you’ve f*cking done anything on a football field. If I see you just know I’m going to slap the f*ck out of you, trust

Gillie made a video on Instagram responding to Manziel calling out his short NFL career and his substance abuse issues. Manziel has yet to respond to the video.

Meanwhile, the player in the center of all of this, Jalen Hurts, has been quiet. He hasn’t responded to Newton or anyone else, for that matter, and has been focused on Eagles camp.

If anyone asks Hurts about Newton or Manziel, all he needs to do is point to the one thing neither has: a Super Bowl ring.
