Davante Adams made no secret how much he hated his time in Las Vegas; what fans didn't know was that he wasn't a fan of his new Rams teammate Jimmy Garoppolo.
Many forget that before both Jimmy Garoppolo and Davante Adams arrived in Los Angeles to play for the Rams, they were teammates with the Las Vegas Raiders.
It wasn’t the most memorable time for either player, but especially for Adams, who had just left the Green Bay Packers and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers to come play in Vegas with his former Fresno State teammate Derek Carr.
Carr would leave the Raiders for the New Orleans Saints, leaving Adams. The Raiders then decided to sign Jimmy Garoppolo as the starting quarterback.
The marriage between Jimmy G, Adams, and the Raiders turned out to be a disaster for all three, and eventually Adams would briefly rejoin Rodgers in New York, and Jimmy G ended up as backup to Matthew Stafford.
Now that Stafford is having back problems, there is a strong possibility that JimmyG could be the starter, which would reunite him with Adams.
But what no one knew was that there was tension and unresolved issues between the newest Rams. In the Netflix series Receiver, you could hear Adams complain and want out of Vegas before he "loses his life."
In a recent interview on ESPN Radio's Sedano & Kap, Adams gives an update on where he and Jimmy G stand today.
"It's amazing. I love Jimmy," he said. "It was never a personal thing and I was hoping we didn't have to have these conversations—I'm surprised this is the first time it's been brought up. But it's been amazing. We got to catch up and get on the right page. Obviously, that was just a dark moment in all of our lives. I think all of us were pretty miserable over there ... we kind of caught up and laughed about it and we've been making plays since we got out here, so it's been fun."
It’s a good thing the pair have kissed and made up because they might be joining forces again if Stafford is injured.
