NFL legend Tom Brady continues to make headlines in what has been an eventful offseason for him.

After sparking buzz with his change in physical appearance over the years and his vacation with his kids during the summer break, TB12 had fans talking once again with his latest business move.

On Thursday, Brady led the ribbon cutting to open the first Chicago location of his sports cards and collectibles business, CardVault by Tom Brady. He was joined by his co-founders and some Chicago Cubs players.

The new shop, which officially opened to the public on Friday, is located at 1027 W. Addison St. just across Wrigley Field — the home of the MLB's Cubs.

Brady further commemorated the occasion with a post on Instagram, highlighting his excitement for the store and his appreciation for those who made the expansion possible.

"Another one!" the 46-year-old Brady started his post. "Opened a new @cardvaultbytombrady in maybe the most legendary location yet, right in the shadow of Wrigley Field. Seeing the way the community came out to support it made it even more meaningful.

"Huge thanks to my guys from the @cubs who came through. Thank you for taking the time to be there, bring the energy, and rip some cards with the fans. We’re proud to become part of your neighborhood. And to the Card Vault team: your dedication, hustle, and passion made this moment possible, let’s keep going."

The seven-time Super Bowl champion added that they are "just getting started," hinting that they have plans to expand further and grow the brand even more.

Sure enough, fans were hyped for Brady, with many taking to the comment section of the post to heap praise and congratulate him.

"Congrats guys. Keep growing the space with passion," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Had a great time! Congrats."

According to the company's website, CardVault by Tom Brady was founded in 2020 and has been named "America's Best Card Shop" ever since then.

"CardVault by Tom Brady has emerged as a premier destination for collectors and enthusiasts, delivering a first-of-its-kind retail experience focused on buying, selling, trading, and grading sports cards and collectibles," the website description stated.

It also noted that the business is "rapidly expanding its national footprint."

The Chicago location is already the third CardVault store opened in a span of four months this 2025. It also opened a store in New Jersey in April and in New York in May.

Here are all six store locations of Brady's sports card shop:

  • TD Garden – Boston, Massachusetts
  • Gillette Stadium – Foxborough, Massachusetts
  • Foxwoods Resort Casino – Mashantucket, Connecticut
  • American Dream Mall – East Rutherford, New Jersey
  • East Hampton, New York
  • Chicago (Wrigleyville) – Illinois

It remains to be seen how many more sports card shops Brady and his team will open this year, but considering their rapid growth, it shouldn't be a surprise to see a couple more pop up in the next few months or so.

As for Brady, who played for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his 23-year NFL career, it seems he has adjusted well to retirement since hanging up his cleats in 2023.
