The two top prospects in the Brewers organization have been promoted to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Brewers prospects Jesús Made and Luis Peña, two 18-year-olds among the best prospects in baseball, are headed to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

Jesús Made and Luis Peña, the pair of budding star 18-year-olds who have torn up the Carolina League this season, are on their way to Wisconsin.

A source indicated both have been informed they've been promoted to the Advanced Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Appleton. The pair were ranked No. 2 and No. 3 by the Journal Sentinel in its midseason prospect rankings, and that was before No. 1-ranked Jacob Misiorowski sustained a foothold as a big leaguer.

Made, ranked No. 3 in all of Major League Baseball by Baseball America and No. 7 by MLB Pipeline, posted a .761 OPS with the Carolina Mudcats, with four homers and 40 stolen bases (caught nine times). He also has 21 doubles and has been reaching base at a .373 clip, and he recently made an appearance in the annual Futures Game held during All-Star weekend in Atlanta.

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop prospect Jesus Made prepares to hit during spring training on February 17, 2025, at American Family Fields of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.

Made won't turn 19 until next May and he remains one of the youngest players in all minor leagues.

Peña, who turns 19 in November, is ranked No. 18 among all MLB prospects by Baseball America and No. 32 by MLB Pipeline. He posted an .844 OPS with the Mudcats, with six homers and 40 stolen bases (caught seven times).

They're both listed as third basemen/shortstops. Peña has played more than 280 innings of shortstop at Carolina, and Made has played 472. Both players were signed as free agents from the Dominican Republic in the January 2024 international class.

The Timber Rattlers begin a weeklong stay in Peoria on Aug. 5. They return home for the start of a homestand against Great Lakes on Aug. 12.
