The 2025 college football season is fast approaching, and anticipation is sky high after a long offseason.
Teams have begun hitting the field for fall camp and are preparing for opening weekend. The season kicks off on Aug. 23 with five Week 0 matchups: the Iowa State Cyclones vs. the Kansas State Wildcats, the Idaho State Bengals vs. the UNLV Rebels, the Fresno State Bulldogs vs. the Kansas Jayhawks, the Sam Houston Bearkats vs. the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and the Stanford Cardinal vs. the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors.
As Week 0 approaches, ESPN will begin promoting its first game of the season — Iowa State vs. Kansas State — with the official anthem for the 2025 college football season. The network released its anthem choice Thursday.

What Was ESPN College Football's Anthem Last Season?
Last season, ESPN went with Nashville native singer-songwriter Jelly Roll’s "Get By." At the time it was selected, the single was only a few days old and instantly gained traction after being used not only before games but also during broadcasts to promote other games on the network.
