Gondomar SC, from the Campeonato de Portugal, announced this Saturday the launch of their new shirts for the 2025/26 season, which will all feature a prominent tribute to Diogo Jota and André Silva.
The brothers were both from Gondomar in the eastern part of Porto and played for the club as a youth players.
"This tribute stems from the deep sense of loss felt by the club and the entire Gondomar community," the club said of the shirts in a social media post.
"Diogo Jota, who always maintained an emotional connection to our county and our club, and André Silva, who shared the same dream and passion for football, continue to inspire generations of young athletes growing up on our pitches.
The President of Gondomar SC Álvaro Sarqueira also spoke about the tribute shirts: "Gondomar SC is a family, and this jersey symbolizes just that: memory, gratitude, and love for our land. Each time our players wear it, it will be as if they are bringing Diogo and André onto the pitch with us."
The jersey will be used in all official matches of the season, becoming 'a living symbol of tribute and eternal connection between the club, the athletes, and the history they both left behind.'
On the front of the jerseys will be a prominent image of each of the two former players, with their names and the infinity symbol also added on the back near the neck area.
