The 76ers will have to wait for it to happen, if it ever does.
The Philadelphia 76ers understand a few things entering the 2025-26 season, but at the top of that list has to be centered on Joel Embiid’s health. If the 76ers have their star, MVP on the court, they’ll be one of the best teams in the NBA.
All Embiid has done throughout his career in the regular season, when healthy, is win games at the highest level. Unfortunately, health has been a problem.
Some of his postseason struggles can be attributed to the fact that he hasn't been able to stay healthy, a problem the 76ers desperately need to address.
It'll come down to more than a few things, but having a serviceable backup or someone just to take the load off every other night would be a wise decision.
FanSided’s Nicolas Kyle Pring wrote an article about how the Chicago Bulls' potentially buying Nikola Vucevic out of his contract could be a perfect scenario for the 76ers.

He, of course, noted that within Embiid’s injury history, it's tough to ignore the type of player that Vucevic could be for them as a depth piece.
“Having said that, Vucevic would be a dream short-term acquisition for a team like the 76ers, which will not need him to do the heavy lifting as he did in Chicago.
“The 76ers desperately need to ease the load on Embiid, and installing Vucevic as his backup qould heavily incentivize the coaching staff into reducing the former’s minutes and workload as much as possible,” Pring wrote.
There would be a strong argument to be made that Vucevic would be the best backup center that Embiid has had in his career, and could certainly be a player who could take the weight off his shoulders.
While he isn't going to go out and get 35-plus a night like Embiid, he's a valuable 3-point shooter, decent scorer around the rim, and would be of help right now.
