3 observations from Day 8 of New York Jets training camp

A few quick observations from the 8th day of New York Jets training camp.

New York Jets 2025 NFL training camp is well underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day.

Throughout practices, updates are shared during the workouts which make for intriguing and important notes.

In terms of Day 8 of training camp, what stood out the most?

Here are three observations from the eighth day of Jets training camp:

Best day from the offense

Between several different reported notes, the offense had their best day of camp so far this summer.

While it took until Day 8, that's OK. The offense is usually behind the defense when training camp starts, especially if there is a new quarterback involved... and yes, that means Justin Fields had a strong day at the office as well.

Couple INTs still

While the offense did thrive overall, the Jets defense did make a few plays. Cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers had an interception and safety Andre Cisco's efforts were praised as well.

Injury notes

The huge note from Jets practice one day prior was two starters leaving practice early with injuries... and two important ones. Those were offensive lineman John Simpson (back) and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (calf). Thankfully, head coach Aaron Glenn said that duo won't miss more than a week or two, which he announced on Friday.
