Trade Night has been a staple at The National Sports Collectors Convention for years. With experiences that touch trading, live breaks, brand activations, and giveaways, showgoers are treated to a one-of-a-kind event that captures everything unique about collecting. This year's experience added to the magic with a new segment called Mantel Bingo.
What is Mantel Bingo?
Mantel Bingo is an interactive collectibles game hosted live on the main stage at Trade Night. But this isn’t your typical Bingo - it’s infused with trading cards. A Mantel rep randomly selects a card theme - like a specific athlete, team, or category. If you own a card that fits, you check the box. First to five in a row wins.
How Did Mantel Bingo Play Out?
The energy was electric.
Kids packed the front of the stage, screaming for a win. A Mantel rep stood at center stage, calling out card themes - everything from cards with animal prints to Johnny Manziel rookies. Some of them? Insanely tough. The crowd was scrambling through their binders and boxes to find five in a row. At one point, kids at the front started teaming up - combining their collections and agreeing to split the prizes. It brought out the best of what collecting is all about.
When someone finally won, a loud “BINGO” rang out from the stage. Winners received prizing like hobby boxes, blasters, and exclusive packs. In my opinion, it's the most fun your kids can have at The National.
And while the live game only ran during Trade Night, Mantel Bingo kept going digitally, with collectors across the show floor playing along on their phones.
Whether you played on stage or from the show floor, Mantel Bingo proved one thing - collecting is just more fun when you play together.
