Alonso Mart铆nez continued his recent goalscoring form with a tap-in finish from inside the six-yard box, after getting on the end of聽Justin Haak's flicked header from a corner in the seventh minute.
A fantastic team goal would see聽Agust铆n Ojeda convert from close range just after the half-hour mark to make it 2-0 when he turned home a cut-back ball from Mart铆nez to bag his first goal of 2025.
Le贸n had a golden chance to get back in the thick of the fight in the 58th minute when聽Los Panzas Verdes were awarded a penalty for a handball in the box by Strahinja Tanasijevi膰.
Matt Freese had other ideas, however, coming up with a huge save to deny James Rodr铆guez from the spot to keep the scoreline as it stood while guaranteeing a three-point haul that would pull them out of the basement in the league phase of the competition.
