Cowboys add former Browns veteran starter after Micah Parsons' trade request

The Dallas Cowboys added a former Cleveland Browns starter to the roster after Micah Parsons' requested a trade on Friday.

Micah Parsons requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, but the team is still adding players to the roster.

According to Elite Loyalty Sports, the Cowboys are signing offensive tackle Geron Christian. Dallas also signed La'el Collins, so the franchise is stocking up on offensive line depth.

"Excited to announce our very own Geron Christian is signing a contract with the Dallas Cowboys. The 7-year veteran is headed to the lone star state," Elite Loyalty Sports, Christian's agency, wrote on X.

In his seven-year career, Christian has started 25 games and played for five different teams.

His most recent stop came in 2024 with the Cleveland Browns, but he has also suited up with the Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Commanders.

A third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by Washington, Christian should provide some nice depth on the Cowboys' offensive line. With the team also signing Collins on Friday, general manager Jerry Jones is making offensive line depth a focus heading into the season.

Obviously, the main storyline in Dallas is the trade request of Parsons, whose relationship with the franchise seems completely destroyed due to their lack of communication in contract talks.
