Deion Sanders received overwhelming support after revealing he had his bladder removed following the discovery of a cancerous tumor during the offseason. One of those sending words of comfort was FOX Sports reporter Erin Andrews.
The veteran broadcaster dropped in Sanders' Instagram comments after the Colorado Buffaloes coach posted a teaser video. This came less than 24 hours before announcing his prognosis during a press conference in Monday.
"I don't know if I'm ready mentally, emotionally," said Sanders in a Well Off Media video from May 9. "Yesterday was tough because I had to make a will. It's not easy at all to think that you might not be here. But you want to make sure everybody's straight."
Andrews commented "Love u Coach," which got over 300 likes as of Tuesday.
The relationship between Sanders and Andrews runs deeper than football. They are both represented by SMAC Entertainment and have shown love for each other during their respective careers. Andrews was the first to interview Coach Prime after coming to Colorado in 2023. She also dressed up as the Hall-of-Famer for Halloween later that year.
“I’m always positive,” Sanders said during Monday's press conference. “I’m back, baby.”
