Cowboys' teammates of Micah Parsons take social media stand amid superstar contract standoff

This is cool synergy.

The Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons are officially in a high-profile standoff.

And it appears that at least some of Parsons' teammates are on his side.

Multiple Cowboys changed their social media profile pictures to photographs of Parsons on Friday.

Those moves came after it was reported that Parsons and the Cowboys are not even negotiating on a new contract, and that Parsons might look to cut ties with the franchise.

Here's a look at the social media move:

The key report on Friday came from The Athletic's Dianna Russini. This is what she wrote on X:

"The Micah Parsons-Cowboys relationship has deteriorated to the point where the star pass rusher is considering drastic measures which could include a trade request or even a declaration that he is severing his relationship with the team, per multiple league sources familiar with the situation. The two sides remain far apart heading into the second week of training camp, and are not currently negotiating."

Parsons has recorded at least a dozen sacks in each of his first four NFL seasons out of Penn State.

He's currently lined up to play the 2025 season on the fifth-year option from his rookie contract, and after that, he'll need a new deal.

Parsons is expected to break all the non-QB contract records, but apparently, Dallas isn't in a hurry to be the team that helps him do that.

It's obvious that Parsons' teammates would want him around. He's special.

But to see them take public stands for him is a cool move. And it's not a great sign for the vibes in Dallas until this situation gets resolved.
