Milan directors to make Jashari decision after returning from successful summer tour

Milan are on their way back to Italy after a successful summer tour in Asia and Australia, but there is no time to rest for Massimiliano Allegri, Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani, who will meet to discuss the current situation surrounding target Ardon Jashari.

Milan have been targeting a move for the Club Brugge midfielder, who has made it clear that Milan is the only team he wants to join this summer.

Club Brugge gave the Switzerland international extra time off this summer while talks with Milan took place. He did not feature in the team’s first league match of the 2025-26 season – a 2-1 win over Genk on Sunday – and could also be left out against Mechelen on Friday evening.

Club Brugge have made it clear that Jashari will not leave the club for an offer below €40m, €35m of which needs to be in fixed fees.

Milan’s most recent offer totalled €38m, made up of €33.5m in fixed fees, €4.5m in bonuses, €1.5m of which were very easily achievable – reportedly linked to Champions League qualification at any stage within the next five years.

Though that proposal practically guaranteed Club Brugge the €35m fixed fee they have been seeking, the Rossoneri offer was still rejected.

With the saga dragging on for several weeks now, and with the beginning of the Serie A season just a fortnight away, Milan directors are due to meet at the beginning of next week to discuss the next steps.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Allegri, Tare and Furlani will sit down in Italy on either Monday or Tuesday for a technical meeting, during which they will discuss transfer targets and the Jashari situation as a priority.

Friday’s report suggests that the Rossoneri need to set a deadline to get a deal done with Club Brugge, but ultimately, the decision on whether to increase their most recent offer, or to invest the €38m in another target instead remains with Milan.
