High school girls soccer: 2025 4A team-by-team region capsules, predictions
The 2025 high school girls soccer season gets underway next week for teams in Class 4A and throughout the state. To prepare fans for the upcoming season, the Deseret News has compiled capsules for every team in 4A. Every school was invited to participate and submit information.
The region rankings are based on coaches’ preseason projections.
There are nine new girls soccer coaches in 4A this year: Spencer Stead (Mountain View), Nikki Michaelis (Orem), Daniel Cardenas (Provo), Kelli Pyle (Summit Academy), Whitney Bowler (Desert Hills), Dusky Goulding (Hurricane), Bryce Harvest (Cottonwood), Nicolas Duncan (Highland) and Lexi Herbert (Deseret Peak).
Here are the 4A teams and players to watch this upcoming season.
Region 8

- Savannah Jett a true # 9 selected to the Girls academy nation ID camp. She applies non stop pressure in our press and finds ways to out the ball in the back of the net.
- Payton Mason a center back for the highly-ranked 2010 Celtic as center back who looks ready to step on the college field. Because of injuries she will likely for Goalkeeper for the brains with untapped potential
Coach comment: We are replacing a lot of key players and lost a D1 committed goalkeeper to injury but have a very talented freshman and sophomore class anchored by but a great group of upperclassmen. I expected for us to be very competitive and maybe even surprise some people.
3. Uintah Utes

Coach comment: I’m so excited for this upcoming season. There’s already something special about this group—their work ethic, their drive, and the way they’re starting to connect on and off the field. We’ve created a schedule that’s going to challenge us in all the best ways, and I can’t wait to see how these girls rise to it.
What I’m most proud of, though, is the culture we’re continuing to build. That is one that honors the legacy of those who came before while creating space for new growth and future success. We’ll be focused on inclusion, belonging, positivity, and playing with purpose. It’s going to be a meaningful, powerful year and I’m grateful to be part of it.
5. Provo Bulldogs
