Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho as the Man Utd outcast is reportedly “keen” on a move in the summer transfer window.
The wide forward is set to leave Old Trafford after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim, who told him to find a new club at the end of last season.
Garnacho is one of several Man Utd players who are surplus to requirements at the club, with Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia also on the chopping block.
Chelsea transfer boost as Man Utd star Alejandro Garnacho ‘keen’ on move
Amid all the speculation surrounding his future, the 21-year-old is said to be “keen on joining Chelsea”, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Napoli were said to be interested in signing Garnacho this past January and this summer, while Atletico Madrid have also been linked, but Chelsea appear to be the frontrunners.
The Blues were his “priority” in the winter transfer window and that remains the case as he seeks an exit from Old Trafford.
Chelsea, however, appear to be biding their time with an official offer for Garnacho, leaving the Man Utd player “waiting” on the move to progress.
