Yesterday was quite a busy day in the world of transfers, and Chelsea were very much involved with some big stories.
First of all, earlier this week, we got the ‘here we go’ call for Jorrel Hato to join Chelsea from Ajax and all that is missing on that one now is the official confirmation from the clubs. But that one is expected to go through.
EXCLUSIVE! New club makes approach to sign Chelsea attacker that could help Simons deal!
And then another Dutch player, Xavi Simons, had gone very quiet over the last couple of days but all that changed last night. Fabrizio Romano had some pretty big and positive updates on Simons to Chelsea despite many believing that it was now off.
So there is a lot going on right now, but there was another ‘here we go’ call from Romano that came out yesterday that many people might have missed amongst all the madness of the summer window and a busy day in the Chelsea offices.

Fabrizio Romano called an agreed deal for Chelsea striker Marc Guiu to join Sunderland on a season long loan deal this week.
He posted on X:
‘Sunderland agree deal to sign Marc Guiu on loan from Chelsea, here we go!
‘Deal in place for straight loan, no buy option clause as Guiu remains part of Chelsea long term plans.
‘Salary covered by #SAFC as he’ll be an important striker for Le Bris plans.’
Good move for young striker
I think it’s a good move for Guiu to join the new Premier League side who look to be strengthening their squad ahead of the season. Hopefully he will get some solid game time but I think he will.
He’s a very good prospect and I hope that a season with regular game time in the Premier League will really help his development.
