The former D-II star stood out.
For whatever the Hall of Fame Game is worth, Isaac TeSlaa made a statement.
The former Division II wide receiver, a rookie for the Detroit Lions, TeSlaa made a pair of big-gain catches back to back during the matchup Thursday night with the Los Angeles Chargers in Canton, Ohio.
TeSlaa didn't stay in the game long, but those gains of 22 and 24 yards were enough to catch attention of NFL viewers happy to have a game to watch again.

TeSlaa was the No. 70 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, early in the third round.

The gifted wideout played his first two seasons of college football at Division II Hillsdale. After that, he transferred to Arkansas, where he stood out in the SEC.
TeSlaa has already said he hopes to get the chance to do a Lambeau Leap against the Packers on the road.
Clearly, the kid isn't lacking for confidence.
It also shows in the way he plays, the way he turns up the field and runs after the catch.
TeSlaa may have begun his college career at the Division II level, but that's less important now.
NFL players have to feel like they belong. TeSlaa clearly feels that way.
There's a long way to go in his NFL career, but this was as good a start as he could've asked for on the final day of July.
