Suarez has been one of the top power hitters in baseball this season. He’s currently one back of = Kyle Schwarber for second in the National League in home runs, trailing Shohei Ohtani by two. Suárez has 36 homers on the year. He also entered Wednesday's game with 87 runs batted in, the most in the National League.
Since debuting with the Detroit Tigers in 2014, Suarez has hit 312 career home runs. After spending 2015 to 2021 with the Cincinnati Reds, he played two seasons with the Seattle Mariners. Last year marked his first with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Earlier this season, Suarez became the first player in 2025 to hit four home runs in a single game. The 34-year old Suarez needs just 82 more RBI's to reach 1,000 in his career.
Arizona currently sits in fourth place in the National League West, 11 games out of first. The Diamondbacks are also seven games behind the final NL wild card spot.
Seattle is making a major run for it. The Mariners are 57-51, and 4.5 games back of the Houston Astros in the American League West. The Mariners are currently the third wildcard team as of Thursday.
It appears the final package for the Diamondbacks will include Tyler Locklear, a prized Mariners first baseman, along with Hunter Canton and Juan Burgos. Both are right-handed pitching prospects.
