MLB trade deadline: Reds bolster lineup by acquiring 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes from Pirates

Hayes will remain under club control for five more seasons.

The Cincinnati Reds are reportedly bringing in third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes from the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Hayes, 28, is in the middle of an eight-year, $70 million contract signed in 2022. He will under Reds' control through 2030.

The Reds sit 8.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central, but are only three games out of a wild card place.
