The NBA offseason is in full swing as teams continue to look at different ways to upgrade their roster to compete for a championship next season.
Of course, the rest of the league is chasing the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder who won the championship last season after a dominant run.
Oklahoma City now brings back almost their entire core from last season, including their star trio of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams as they try to win back-to-back titles.
While the Thunder are looking like the team to beat next season, one of their former players was in the news on Monday as Kendrick Perkins sent a message to Deion Sanders on social media after the former NFL star announced that he is cancer free.
On Monday, Sanders met with the media where he announced that he had undergone surgery to remove his bladder after doctors discovered a tumor there.
Sanders said that after the surgery that there are no traces of cancer and that he will continue to coach the Colorado Buffaloes this season.
“You have no idea how good God has been to me,” Sanders said after revealing that he is cured from cancer on Monday.

This is a great gesture by Perkins as he joined many professional athletes, the media and fans who have sent their well wishes to Sanders after his announcement on Monday.
Of course, Sanders is set to enter his third season with Colorado this season, though it will be an almost completely different squad, especially due to the fact that both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are now in the NFL.
Despite this, Sanders has done a great job of building the program since his arrival in 2023 and he will look to continue to right the ship for the Buffaloes in 2025.
