Stockport County have signed teenage forward Nathan Lowe on a season-long loan from Stoke City.

Lowe, 19, spent the first half of last season on loan at Walsall, scoring 15 times in 22 League Two appearances to help propel the Saddlers to the top of the table before he was recalled by Stoke in January.

He scored on his first game back for the Potters in the 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion and made 10 Championship appearances during the 2024-25 campaign.

"I'm delighted to be able to welcome Nathan to the club," Stockport boss Dave Challinor told the club website.

"It's safe to say we've had to be patient on this one, but that has now paid off, and we've secured one of the most sought-after signatures for League One clubs this summer."

Despite only spending half of the season in the fourth tier, Lowe was named League Two Young Player of the Year for 2024-25.

He is Stockport's sixth signing of the summer window and has been given the number 9 shirt for the upcoming season.

Stockport will kick off their League One campaign at home to Bolton Wanderers on Sunday [12:00 BST].
