Game-by-game predictions for 2025 Alabama football season

When searching for the most difficult schedules in the SEC this season, the Alabama Crimson Tide are among those who might stick out, and when looking at the games awaiting the program this fall, it's not hard to see why.

In all, Alabama will host notable programs such as LSU, Tennessee, and Wisconsin during the 2025 campaign, while also traveling to play on the road in challenging environments such as Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, and Florida State.

No doubt a challenging schedule, just how might Alabama perform against this slate of matchups this season? Will the Crimson Tide have some of the same road struggles as a year ago, or will Alabama have a bounce-back season to emerge as a legit national title contender once again?

Now only weeks away from the start of the season, here are some game-by-game predictions for Alabama in 2025.

Week 1: at Florida State Seminoles

• Date: Saturday, Aug. 30 in Tallahassee, Florida
• Prediction: Alabama 33, Florida State 20

A matchup that is becoming more-and-more anticipated on a national stage following some recent comments, it still feels like this Week 1 showdown in Tallahassee will be a close contest. Florida State will certainly give Alabama their best shot in Week 1, and it will not be an easy trip for the Crimson Tide by any means.

Week 2: vs. UL Monroe Warhawks

• Date: Saturday, Sept. 6 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 54, UL Monroe 13

This matchup is shaping up to be all Alabama in Week 2. The Warhawks will simply not have enough to score with the Crimson Tide, translating to a big Alabama victory.

Week 3: vs. Wisconsin Badgers

• Date: Saturday, Sept. 13 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 40, Wisconsin 17

After meeting a year ago in Madison, Alabama and Wisconsin bring this SEC vs. Big Ten showdown to Tuscaloosa in 2025. Similar to last season as well, this should be an Alabama victory over the Badgers.

Week 5: at Georgia Bulldogs

• Date: Saturday, Sept. 27 in Athens, Georgia
• Prediction: Alabama 23, Georgia 27

Alabama's trip to Athens in late-September will easily be one of their toughest of the 2025 season, facing Georgia in what could potentially be a Top 10 matchup. A game that could go either way, expect this matchup to live up to the hype, similar to last season, but for Alabama to ultimately suffer their first loss of the season on the road in Athens in a close contest.

Week 6: vs. Vanderbilt Commodores

• Date: Saturday, Oct. 4 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 42, Vanderbilt 17

After last seasons loss in Nashville a year ago, expect Alabama to bounce-back with a big victory over Vanderbilt at home in 2025. Look for the Crimson Tide to make a statement here, and for Alabama to avoid a repeat of 2024.

Week 7: at Missouri Tigers

• Date: Saturday, Oct. 11 in Columbia, Missouri
• Prediction: Alabama 33, Missouri 17

This trip to Missouri could be a tricky game for Alabama in 2025. However, it is still one the Crimson Tide should win.

Week 8: vs. Tennessee Volunteers

• Date: Saturday, Oct. 18 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 33, Tennessee 20

Alabama has lost the last two trips to Knoxville, but this seasons contest will be played in Tuscaloosa where the Volunteers have not defeated the Crimson Tide since 2003. While this game could be close, Alabama is likely the favorite entering this seasons showdown with the Volunteers.

Week 9: at South Carolina Gamecocks

• Date: Saturday, Oct. 25 in Columbia, South Carolina
• Prediction: Alabama 30, South Carolina 24

This could be one of Alabama's toughest road trips this season, traveling to what should be a challenging Williams-Brice Stadium for what could be an important SEC contest. Alabama will likely be favored going into this contest, but this will undoubtedly be a close game between two potentially highly-ranked teams.

Week 11: vs. LSU Tigers

• Date: Saturday, Nov. 8 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 30, LSU 24

Annually one of college football's most anticipated matchups, Alabama and LSU will meet this season in Tuscaloosa. Expect a much closer contest here than last seasons beatdown in Baton Rouge, but for Alabama to be favored going into what should be another classic between the two.

Week 12: vs. Oklahoma Sooners

• Date: Saturday, Nov. 15 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 35, Oklahoma 23

Alabama and Oklahoma will meet as SEC foes for the first time in Tuscaloosa this season after the two played a year ago in Norman. The Crimson Tide will likely be favored here, but this Oklahoma team could potentially be better than the version which defeated Alabama a year ago.

Week 13: vs. Eastern Illinois Panthers

• Date: Saturday, Nov. 22 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 62, Eastern Illinois 10

This showdown with Eastern Illinois should be a big victory for Alabama. Expect the Crimson Tide to cruise to a win here.

Week 14: at Auburn Tigers

• Date: Saturday, Nov. 29 in Auburn, Alabama
• Prediction: Alabama 27, Auburn 24

Alabama's regular season finale will come Nov. 29 when the Crimson Tide travel to Auburn for the first Iron Bowl in Jordan-Hare Stadium of the DeBoer era. This will likely be one of Alabama's toughest road games of the season, and should be close between the two rivals.
