Ryan Clark pulls back against Cam Newton

Ryan Clark shocked his co-host Channing Crowder when he didn't take jibes at Cam Newton for his remarks over the former NFL Safety's career.

However, Clark had nothing against the former Auburn Tigers quaterback because, according to him, the Newton just said that he's more gifted than Clark, something that Clark agrees with. He doesn't want to reply to those remarks.

But talking about the comments from Newton, Clark, on 'The Pivot' podcast, said that he could've done a better job of narrating the former NFL Safety's story.

Compared to Newton, he had a distinct journey. The former Heisman Trophy winner was the No. 1 overall pick, while Clark went undrafted.

Clark went on an emotional rant explaining how Newton could've narrated his story, saying, "if he were using my career to inspire, rather than insult, it would sound much different."

The former Pittsburgh Steeler added, "He would say an undrafted guy built himself into something from nothing, but it’s ok, he didn’t have to. I already know it. I walked away from the game when I wanted to with no regrets, & I’m good with that!"

From his perspective, Clark went against the odds and made a name for himself. He outplayed all of the safeties drafted in his class and even made it to the Pro Bowl. Yes, it was "just one Pro Bowl" as Newton pointed out, but from Clark's perspective, he sees that as a mountainous achievement based on where he started.

Clark also recalled that he's never had any resentment towards Newton. When the rest of the media were questioning his ability to analyse, Clark supported him and said he deserves a voice.

It all started when Newton said he didn't see Jalen Hurts as a top ten quarterback. This take went viral, and Clark defended Hurts. In response to that, Newton criticized Clark and the career he had.
