Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a late move for a Manchester United star in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Despite signing Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and being on the verge of adding Xavi Simons to their squad, Chelsea reportedly still maintain an interest in Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
At the moment, Chelsea are reportedly in talks with RB Leipzig over a deal for Simons, who can play on the left.
The Blues also have Jamie Gittens and Tyrique George, who can operate in that position, especially if the latter is not loaned out this transfer window.
Despite this, Chelsea could still bring in Garnacho from United towards the end of the ongoing transfer window.
The Argentine international has been linked with a move to Chelsea throughout the summer, and it has been revealed that a move could materialise in the last few weeks of the window.
Reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has given an update on the Garnacho to Chelsea situation.

According to Fabrizio Romano, while Simons remains the Blues’ priority, they will consider making a move for Garnacho towards the end of the transfer window.
On his YouTube channel, he said: “First step, go for Xavi Simons, negotiations advanced with Leipzig, and then second step, consider Garnacho as an opportunity for the final weeks of the window. So that’s the plan for Chelsea.”
In the meantime, Chelsea are reportedly doing checks on Garnacho’s character to find out more about him.
While it remains to be seen whether the player ends up at Stamford Bridge or not, he will almost certainly never feature for United again after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim.
