OXFORD — A difficult first day of fall camp for Lane Kiffin and the Rebels.
While Ole Miss started its prep for the season opener against Georgia State, most thoughts were on one player that was missing.
This should have been the first day of fall camp for incoming freshman Corey Adams but the 18-year old was shot and killed in Cordova, ten days ago. Tuesday, Kiffin remembered the fallen Rebel.
“He was just with us for a short time, but he made a major impact on us by how he worked, who he was, how he led. Even as a freshman. Very rarely do we ever have a freshman that in the off-season conditioning and running, was challenging seniors to finish in a standard,” Kiffin said. “That’s who he was. Just a tragic, tragic passing.”
