North Florida, Jacksonville will open ASUN men's women's basketball schedules on New Year's Day

The ASUN will ring in the New Year with its men's and women's conference basketball schedyules

The conference announced its schedule on July 29 with a slate of six men's games and six women's games on Jan. 1.

The Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida men's teams will open on the road, with the JU Dolphins traveling to Nashville to play the defending champion Lipscomb Bison and the UNF Ospreys going to Clarksville, Tenn., to play Austin Peay.

JU and UNF will swap road opponents on Jan. 3, with JU playing at Austin Peay and UNF at Lipscomb.

Their home ASUN openers will be Jan. 8 when JU hosts Queens and UNF entertains West Georgia.

The two River City Rumble games will be Feb. 11 at Jacksonville and Feb. 28 at UNF. The latter game closes the regular season.

Who do the JU and UNF women's teams play to open the ASUN?

The Dolphins and Ospreys will both play their first two ASUN games at home. JU will host Austin Peay and UNF will host Lipscomb on Jan. 1. They will swap opponents two days later on Jan. 3.

The women's River City Rumble games will be at UNF on Feb. 14 and at JU on Feb. 27.

The ASUN men's and women's conference tournaments will be in Jacksonville at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

When do JU and UNF open their basketball seasons?

Neither team has announced its non-conference schedule for men's or women's basketball.
