Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Bayron Matos is out of the hospital after being airlifted from the practice field last week.

Bayron Matos, the Miami Dolphins' offensive lineman who was airlifted off the practice field after the first practice of training camp, is out of the hospital.

Matos was injured on July 23 after a collision with a teammate. He was immobilized before being taken to a trauma center by helicopter with an upper-body injury.

Matos, 24, grew up in the Dominican Republic and joined the Dolphins via the NFL's International Player Pathway Program. He is 6-feet-7 and 334 pounds.

Bayron Matos, from the Dominican Republic, is practicing with the Miami Dolphins as an offensive tackle.

Last week, coach Mike McDaniel said Matos' condition was improving.

"That's a tough moment for any team," McDaniel said. "We were really pumped to hear he has feeling and movement in all extremities. He's doing better and better and that's what we're focused on."
