Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has had an eventful past few months — from getting engaged in April to his girlfriend, Haley Cavinder, to attending Travis Kelce’s Tight End University camp, to earning a four-year, $52 million contract extension on Sunday.

Meanwhile, with the 2025 NFL season quickly approaching, Ferguson and his team have been putting in the work at Cowboys training camp.

The 26-year-old tight end spoke to the media on Saturday and recalled a moment at Tight End University when he met Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift. He admitted that he still hasn't washed his hands.

"I shook her hand, I still haven’t washed my hand," Ferguson said. "She’s so normal, she’s so nice! Not that I was expecting anything different, but like, she knew football. She was talking like, ‘We [the Chiefs] got a big game at Cowboys this year!'"

Ferguson was among the 70-plus tight ends who gathered in June to learn from Kelce, Greg Olsen and George Kittle. The camp was designed to bring the tight end community closer and help players build off each other while enjoying time with their families.

Swift was there supporting Kelce and even hopped on stage for a surprise performance during the Kane Brown concert. There, Ferguson and Cavinder, a former college basketball player who is a full-time social media influencer, had the chance to chat with her for a bit.

Ferguson is entering his fourth season in the NFL after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 draft. Last season, he appeared in 14 games and recorded 59 receptions for 494 yards.
