Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes has no interest in joining Tottenham Hotspur (Santi Aouna). “Spurs made an inquiry, but there’s no talk ongoing.”

The soccer punch is that he is aiming for a bigger club than Tottenham. Ouch!

Last week, rumours started flying that Tottenham want the Brazilian international to join their ranks. A report from Spain yesterday claimed Spurs are in talks for the player.

However, Aouna pours cold water on Tottenham’s dream of signing Rodrygo, whom legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti hailed as a ‘special striker’.

Rodrygo wants to stay at Real Madrid and has clarified that. Even though head coach Xabi Alonso barely uses him, he has refused to give up on his dreams of staying.

Secondly, he’d want a club where he can win trophies yearly, and Spurs might not be able to offer him what teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich can.

If Tottenham want to sign a marquee name to bolster the frontline, there is a whole market of gems out there to choose from.

Rodrygo does not want to leave his comfort zone right now.

The left wing is one of the few positions where there is an abundance of talent waiting to be plucked, from Alejandro Garnacho to Rafael Leao, Harvey Barnes, and more.

One name that should pique Tottenham’s interest is Garnacho (View). The Manchester United winger is only 21 and has gotten too much heat.

Garnacho delivered 11 goals and 10 assists from last season despite not being fully trusted by his manager.

He is raw, yes, but his explosive pace, direct running, and willingness to take risks are tailor-made for Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s attacking system.

What Garnacho needs is a manager who will let him make mistakes and grow, something Frank has done with young talents before.

Under the right guidance at Spurs, his decision-making and end product will improve drastically.

Spurs may not land Rodrygo, but Garnacho is a hungry, high-ceiling alternative, and unlike the Brazilian, he is actually available this summer.
