Over the last several months, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders' health was a major concern for fans.

Sanders spent considerable time away from the program dealing with a mysterious health issue, though he did report back to Boulder for training camp this month. Now, we know just what was afflicting the Pro Football Hall of Famer, and it was quite serious.

In a press conference alongside his medical team Monday, Sanders revealed that he was diagnosed with a cancerous bladder tumor in the spring. The 57-year-old had his bladder removed, and doctors said he has been cured.

"I am pleased to report that the results from the surgery are that he is cured from the cancer," one of the doctors told reporters.

While the update was positive in nature--Sanders can even be heard telling those in the room its okay to clap--fans are understandably worried.

There's now clarity regarding what Sanders was facing, but people are still hoping for the best for him moving forward.

"I’m thankful for Deion and his entire family. Glad he beat this," one commenter wrote.

"Honest and sincere credit to Deion Sanders for his transparency when it comes to his issues with his bodily functions since his battle with bladder cancer," another person tweeted.

"Prayers up for Prime Time," a San Francisco 49ers fan account wrote.

"Football is better with Deion Sanders I am very happy that he’s cancer free now," a Penn State alum said.

"Glad Prime is okay. F--k Cancer," a fifth person said.
