Edmonton Oil Kings defenseman Ethan MacKenzie has committed to North Dakota, it was announced on Friday.
A native of West Kelowna, B.C., MacKenzie appeared in 54 regular season games for the Oil Kings last year, where he tallied five goals and 27 assists.
In 130 regular season WHL games with Edmonton, MacKenzie has recorded 50 points (seven goals, 43 assists).
A 2006-born skater, MacKenzie will return to the Oil Kings next season before making the jump to the NCAA to join the Fighting Hawks for the 2026-27 season.
