Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver, who transferred after spending three years at UGA, finds a new NFL home
Wide receiver Matt Landers has signed a contract with the Tennessee Titans. Landers played college football at Georgia from 2018-2020. He transferred to Toledo for the 2021 season and then transferred to Arkansas for the 2022 season.
Landers posted just 12 receptions for 132 yards and one touchdown in three seasons at Georgia, but he was much more productive at Toledo and Arkansas. In 2022, Landers posted 901 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 47 receptions with Arkansas.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound receiver has bounced around in the NFL and XFL over the past few years. He's had stints with the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks and a pair XFL teams.
Landers has excellent athleticism and posted a 4.37 second 40-yard dash at the 2023 NFL combine. The Titans signed Landers and waived receiver Colton Dowell in a corresponding move. Landers will look to make Tennessee's roster or practice squad.
Tennessee opens their preseason slate on Aug. 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
