Dallas has some business to still get done.
The Dallas Cowboys got one piece of business done on Sunday. They signed Jake Ferguson to a contract extension ahead of the final year of his current deal.
There's still lots more to be done, though.
Micah Parsons headlines the list of players heading into a contract year for the Cowboys (meaning that they'll be a free agent after the 2025 season if no extension is reached).
Parsons is the biggest name, lined up for a record-setting contract that will be the highest salary ever given to a non-QB in the NFL, if Dallas actually makes him such an offer.
He's not the only guy the Cowboys should be thinking about extending, though.
The Fort Worth Star Telegram's Nick Harris pointed out four others still in need of an extension ahead of a contract year:
- Tyler Smith
- DaRon Bland
- George Pickens
- Brandon Aubrey
Will Dallas get any deals done beyond Ferguson?

The closer it gets to the season, the more likely for some drama to build.
Those players, along with Parsons, would likely command strong free agent interest, so it wouldn't be the end of the world for them to reach free agency.
It might not be the best plan for the Cowboys, though, who would be wise to keep their best players in town.
So keep an eye out for more deals. Maybe the Ferguson contract is the one that gets the ball rolling on the rest.
