Bibby and Angel Reese swept Caitlin Clark in college
Remarkably, the 27-year-old has never been on the losing end in four matchups with Clark. The 4-0 career record dates back to her college basketball career with the Maryland Terrapins, where she and Angel Reese went 3-0 against Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes.
Maryland beat Iowa twice during the 2020-2021 season, including Bibby leading the Terps with 21 points in a 104-84 win in the Big Ten Tournament championship game. Clark averaged 27.5 points across the two matchups, while Reese was a used sparingly as a reserve for the stacked Maryland team.
By the following season, Reese was the dominant force fans grew to know later with LSU and the Chicago Sky. She had 25 points and 13 rebounds in an 81-69 win over Iowa in February 2022, starting alongside Bibby in Bibby's final season.
Will Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark play in Fever vs. Sky on Sunday?
Bibby joins her second WNBA team in the Fever just in time for Sunday's game against Reese and the Sky, which will air on ABC at 3 p.m. ET from Chicago.
Clark is expected to miss the game, while Reese's injury status is up in the air after a back injury kept her out of the Sky's 95-57 loss to the Seattle Storm on Thursday.
