PSG are facing growing uncertainty between the posts, and Lucas Chevalier has emerged as a potential long-term answer. The 23-year-old LOSC Lille goalkeeper is attracting serious interest as the summer transfer window heats up.
Although Gianluigi Donnarumma is under contract until 2026, questions about his future persist following several high-profile mistakes. He’s had standout performances—especially in Champions League matches against Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal—but his lack of consistency continues to raise concerns.
Nonetheless, PSG appear ready to close the Donnarumma chapter. L’Équipe reported Saturday that the Parisians have advanced their pursuit of Chevalier. Talks over a five-year deal began several days ago, and the goalkeeper has already reached a broad agreement with PSG.
Only minor details remain before negotiations between the two clubs formally begin. Lille president Olivier Létang is known for driving a hard bargain when it comes to top players. The deal is expected to cost at least €40 million — a figure PSG have already reviewed internally and are prepared to meet.

With PSG looking at alternatives to Donnarumma, L’Équipe reports that even before the end of the European season, the Italian had privately discussed the idea of leaving, despite making different statements in public.
The report adds that Manchester United and Manchester City, both involved as early as June, remain in the race to sign Donnarumma. PSG want to secure the signing of Chevalier first before giving the green light for their European champion’s departure.
