Sparks' Rickea Jackson shows she might be WNBA's next star in upset win over Liberty

That's how you win a basketball game.

The Los Angeles Sparks knew where they wanted the basketball to go: Rickea Jackson.

And while the buzzer beater may not have been the kind you draw up in your head, a little more underhand scoop than pure follow-through, it counted all the same.

Sparks 101, Liberty 99.

A big upset, and a top-of-the-CV moment for Jackson

She put up 24 points, tied a season-high with four 3-pointers and called game at the horn.

Jackson has always been viewed as someone who can grow into a WNBA star. Her growth this season has affirmed that.

The Sparks will need that, too. Kelsey Plum was the big offseason addition. If Cameron Brink can return from injury and be her uniquely talented self, L.A. has something special working.

Jackson proved she can deliver when called upon on Saturday night. It won't be the last time she's needed.
