Barcelona beat Slavia Prague 4 - 2 at Fortuna Arena on Wednesday 21 January in the Champions League league phase.
What happened in Prague?
Barcelona took three big point after wild night in the Czech capital but it did not come easy. Slavia Prague started fast and punished Barca from corner. Vasil Kušej scored in the 10 minute to make it 1 - 0.
Barcelona grew into the game and Fermín López turned the match around before the break. He equalised in the 34 minute, then struck again in the 42 with long range finish for 2-1 lead.
But Slavia hit back right away. Another corner caused chaos and Robert Lewandowski scored own goal in the 44 minute making it 2 -2 at half time.
Second half turning point: Pedri injury, then Olmo impact
Barcelona improved after the restart but there was worrying moment around the hour mark when Pedri went down and had to be replaced.
The change brought spark. Dani Olmo came on and scored brilliant goal in the 63 minute to restore Barcelona’s lead at 3- 2.
Slavia pushed for another equaliser but Barca found the killer goal. Marcus Rashford broke in behind and crossed for Lewandowski who made amends with close range finish in the 70 minute to seal 4 - 2 win.
What the result means for Barcelona?
The win keeps Barcelona in the fight for top eight finish in league phase and the direct place in Round of 16.
They now move on to final league phase match against Copenhagen at home next week.
