Former TSG Hoffenheim defender Stefan Posch is on the verge of returning to the Bundesliga.
According to Sky Germany, Mainz have reached an agreement to sign the 28-year-old on a six-month loan deal without an option to buy.
Posch has spent the season on loan at Como so far, but after starting just three Serie A games, he's heading to Germany in search of more playing time.
1. FC Köln were also linked with a move for the Austrian international, but now appears to have lost out to Mainz.
Posch's contract with Bologna expires in 2027.
