In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Real Madrid have identified Manchester City midfielder Rodri as a target for this summer transfer window. It has been claimed that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Spain international this summer.
Rodri’s Recent Injury Problems In English Football
Rodri missed a lot of games for Man City in the previous campaign because of injury. The Spanish talent has been a great performer for the Mancunian giants over the past few years.
The 29-year-old has made 265 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side so far, scoring 26 goals and picking up 32 assists across all competitions. However, he needs to find a way to stay injury-free if he wants to taste success at the highest level.
Rodri is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2027. Therefore, Real Madrid would have to launch a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him this off-season.

Should Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso Snap Rodri Up This Summer?
Rodri is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team at the centre of the park. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is an accurate passer of the ball. Rodri can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create some promising chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.
The Spaniard is strong in the air as well and can make some driving runs with the ball from midfield. Rodri is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also function as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so. The talented midfielder has got a wealth of experience at the highest level and is well-equipped to make an immediate impact at the Madrid club next season.
At 29, Rodri is still playing in his prime which makes him a decent choice for Real Madrid to consider in this summer transfer window. He might even help the Madrid giants compete for some major silverware over the next few years. All in all, Alonson would be wise to go all out to snap Rodri up ahead of the new La Liga campaign.
