Lexie Hull's mom sends strong message after stat revelation.

"She’s Never Going to Be Perfect": Lexie Hull’s Mom Sends Message After Fever Stat Emerges originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Behind a middling 12-12 overall record, one under‑the‑radar storyline for the Indiana Fever has emerged this season: 25-year-old guard Lexie Hull has posted some of the most efficient shooting numbers on the roster despite limited offensive opportunities.

Through 24 games, Hull is averaging 7.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 27.1 minutes per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 45.6% from 3-point range.

On Thursday, one user, Coach Steiner, took to X to spotlight Hull’s efficiency and question her usage.

"Hull ranks #1 for her FG% to Usage % ratio on the team. This means she’s converting her limited touches at an elite rate, confirming she is being underutilized. Key Stats: FG%: 43.9% / Usage%: 13.6%," the post read.

"She's cooled off in recent games, but even at her season average, she's outperforming her usage… Every time I turn around, Lexi is sitting on the bench or standing in the corner waiting for the ball that never comes. In my opinion, Lexi has one of the prettiest jump shots, but unfortunately, I've only seen it twice."

One of the first to speak out was Jaime Hull, Lexie’s mother, posting on X shortly after Steiner’s thread with a heartfelt message.

"She’s got it in her! She’s never going to be perfect. Just needs to rebuild her confidence and the shots will fall. YOU got this honey (@lexiehulll)!!! Drowned out the noise, forget the misses, and let it fly!!! I BELIEVE, We BELIEVE, now YOU BELIEVE!! 😘😘😘."

Hull’s rise shouldn’t come as a total surprise to basketball followers.

A first‑round pick (sixth overall) in the 2022 WNBA Draft out of Stanford, she was a pivotal member of the Cardinal's 2021 national championship team, is a three‑time All‑Pac‑12 selection and twice earned Pac‑12 All‑Defensive Team honors during her collegiate tenure.

Her pro career has steadily progressed, from a 12.8‑minute rookie season to playing over 27 minutes per game this year, yet she’s often found herself in a supporting role behind marquee backcourt pieces like Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.

With 20 games remaining on the regular‑season slate, Indiana’s margin for error is slim. However, should the Fever commit to feeding Hull more touches, they might unlock a new layer of offensive versatility.

That could begin on Thursday, when the Fever host the Las Vegas Aces at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on Prime Video.
