The Green Bay Packers unveiled a new look for their team for the 2025-26 NFL season that will honor the franchise's 100-plus-year history.
On Thursday, July 24, the organization revealed the new, history-inspired uniform, called the "1923 Classic," which features a leather-look, hand-painted helmet.
The classic look from the Packers features familiar navy blue jerseys with dark gold numbers and accents, paired with tan pants and navy socks.
However, the helmet, the first hand-painted design in NFL history, according ot the team, garnered plenty of buzz among the locker room favorites.
Following the announcement, the Packers posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) sharing player reactions to the new helmets.
Rashan Gary enters the frame and emphasizes the details on the helmet, holding it close to the camera.
"Look at the leather on that joint," he said. "This the throwback, before we had the helmet -- if you know, you know."
"Not getting this back," Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs quipped.

"These are nice," wide receiver Romeo Doubs added.
"Dang! The leather caps right there, goodness," quarterback Jordan Love said. "They're pretty cool, no lie. That's pretty cool right there."
"I'm keeping this one at the end of the season for sure," tight end Tucker Kraft said.
While there was a litany of ecstatic reactions, Gary may have put it best at the end of the video.
"We doing for the people that wore the 'G' before we wore the 'G,' he said. "This that real throwback feeling."
The 1923 Classic uniform will debut at Lambeau Field during a game this season. The game will be announced in the coming weeks, the team said.
