Confirmed line up: Four changes for Wolves clash

In pursuit of four successive Premier League wins for the first time since April 2025, Howe, reshuffles his pack as Kieran Trippier, Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes and Nick Woltemade come in for Lewis Miley, Jacob Ramsey, Jacob Murphy and Yoane Wissa.

Nick Pope continues in-between the sticks while Sven Botman and Malick Thiaw retain their places at the heart of United's backline, with Lewis Hall occupying the defensive flanks along with Trippier.

Bruno Guimarães, who has scored three goals in his last three Premier League matches, captains the visitors and is situated alongside Tonali and Joelinton in the middle of the park.

Barnes has netted four goals in his last three competitive matches and scored the winning goal in last season's 2-1 comeback win at Molineux. The Burnley-born winger, as well as Anthony Gordon, will aim to provide attacking support for Nick Woltemade, who scored the only goal in September's reverse fixture on his Magpies debut.

Miley, one league appearance shy of a half-century in the English top-flight, is named on the bench along with Ramsey and Wissa.

Joe Willock, Anthony Elanga and Alex Murphy are options for Howe to deploy from the bench if required.

Teenage pair Sean Neave and Leo Shahar, the latter joining Newcastle from Wolves in the summer of 2023, both remain in search of their professional debuts. Aaron Ramsdale is the substitute goalkeeper.

Today's encounter against Wolves will be the 100th league meeting between the two sides since their first back in 1898.
