Italian media have criticised referee Marco Di Bello for a sequence of decisions that sparked controversy during Inter Milan’s 1-0 win away to Udinese.
For much of the match, Di Bello kept control without major incidents.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, that changed in the 68th minute.
Indeed, when his decisions suddenly raised tension on and off the pitch.
The referee first awarded Inter a free kick on the edge of the Udinese area for an alleged handball by Kabasele after a ricochet off a teammate. Italian newspapers immediately questioned the call.

Moments later came the most disputed episode.
Udinese forward Davis broke towards goal before Carlos Augusto stopped him with a clean tackle.
Despite clearly winning the ball, Di Bello booked the Inter defender.
That decision angered both sides. Udinese protested for a red card, arguing a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
Inter protested the yellow, judging it completely unjustified.
VAR could not intervene, as protocol does not allow reviews for yellow cards.
The press described the episode as a “blackout” from Di Bello.
While the calls did not change the final result, newspapers highlighted them as serious mistakes that undermined an otherwise well-managed match.
