Chelsea are one of three clubs closely monitoring Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.

The Blues heavily invested in their squad last summer, especially in attack as they totally revamped the frontline with five new signings.

However, with the January window in full swing Chelsea have inevitably been linked with players, although the priority this month is said to be a centre back.

The Blues have identified Rennes centre back Jeremy Jacquet as their number one target, and are in negotiations over a move for the France under-21 international.

However, Chelsea are said to also want another attacker and a midfielder, although those signings will more than likely happen in the summer.

Chelsea have Geovany Quenda and Emmanuel Emegha arriving at the end of the season, but according to Plettenberg they have another winger on their radar.

He took to X.com and said:

“Anis Hadj #Moussa is one to watch ahead of the summer transfer window.

“Chelsea, Marseille and SL Benfica are closely monitoring the situation. In addition, agent Makram Naceur is acting as an intermediary in talks with interested clubs from Germany.

“The 23 y/o right winger is under contract with Feyenoord until 2030.”

Chelsea have been previously linked with Hadj Moussa, who’s predominantly a right winger who can also play on the left, and he’s scored seven goals and registered three assists in 23 appearances in all competitions this season.

Chelsea well stocked in the wide areas

If Chelsea do decide to pursue the Algerian it will be interesting to see what they do with their current crop of wingers, as one would almost certainly have to leave to create space.

The Blues signed Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens last summer, whilst they also have Pedro Neto and Estevao.

Quenda will arrive in the summer, and they reportedly want to add another attacker, so it will be interesting to see what decision the club takes.
